Deux vétérans de la Seconde Guerre mondiale se rencontrent – niveau 2

Tom Fitzpatrick a 101 ans et travaillait comme navigateur radio sur un bombardier B-17 en Italie pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il pensait être le dernier membre de son escadron.
L’étudiant Tyler Boland, qui parle aux anciens combattants, a trouvé Stanley Eisenberg, également âgé de 101 ans, qui était armurier dans la même unité. Ils ont tous deux servi dans la 15e armée de l’air, au sein du 96e escadron de bombardement. Bien qu’ils n’aient vécu qu’à 15 minutes l’un de l’autre, ils se sont ignorés pendant 81 ans. Tyler les a aidés à se rencontrer et à partager des histoires sur leur temps de guerre.
Tom et Stanley ont déclaré que cette rencontre était très spéciale. Ils veulent que les jeunes se souviennent de ce qui s’est passé pendant la guerre et comprennent ce que les soldats ont vécu.
