Manchester United va construire un nouveau stade de football de 100 000 places. Ce sera le plus grand du Royaume-Uni.
Le club affirme que ce sera le meilleur stade du monde. Il pense qu’il aidera le Royaume-Uni. Il rapportera beaucoup d’argent chaque année. Le stade aidera aussi Old Trafford en créant des emplois et des logements.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe dit que l’ancien stade est très bien mais qu’il est aussi vieux. Le nouveau sera à côté, ce qui permettra de conserver l’histoire du club.
Le gouvernement veut aider le nord de l’Angleterre, et ce stade est important. Manchester United espère que ce sera un endroit spécial, comme Wembley.
