La police a arrêté un garçon de 16 ans pour avoir abattu un célèbre arbre vieux de 300 ans dans le Northumberland, en Angleterre.

Cet arbre était célèbre parce qu’il apparaissait dans un film de Robin des Bois, dans lequel jouait Kevin Costner, et qu’il représentait beaucoup pour de nombreuses personnes. La police pense qu’il ne s’agit pas d’un accident car quelqu’un a soigneusement utilisé une tronçonneuse pour l’abattre. Les gens sont très tristes et ne comprennent pas pourquoi quelqu’un fait une chose pareille.

Les habitants de la région sont choqués par la perte de l’arbre, qui était un élément important de leur communauté. Il est prévu de planter un nouvel arbre au même endroit, mais il faudra des décennies pour qu’il pousse. La police demande l’aide du public pour fournir toute information susceptible de l’aider dans son enquête.
