L’attaque a lieu à Handlová, une ville située à 145 kilomètres de Bratislava, la capitale. Une vidéo montre comment l’homme tire sur Fico. L’homme tire cinq fois. Fico tombe. La police attrape le tireur. Fico est hospitalisé à Banská Bystrica. La situation est grave.
