Les arbres capturent le dioxyde de carbone et abritent de nombreux animaux. Le Brésil possède de nombreuses terres qui étaient autrefois des forêts, mais il faudra beaucoup d’argent pour les restaurer. Bien que le gouvernement ait accordé moins d’argent à la reforestation ces derniers temps, des organisations comme Rioterra et la Fondation du jaguar noir continuent à travailler pour atteindre leurs grands objectifs.
