Jeremy Buckingham, un législateur australien, a mis le feu à la rivière Condamine, dans le Queensland, pour montrer l’impact de l’industrie du gaz de houille et des opérations de fracturation à proximité.

Dans la vidéo, on voit le député mettre un briquet sur la rivière, ce qui déclenche une énorme flamme. Après s’être remis du choc, M. Buckingham prononce quelques mots sur ce qui s’est passé, plaidant pour l’arrêt des forages de méthane à un kilomètre de là.
