L’Aïd al-Fitr, fête qui marque la fin du Ramadan, a été célébrée dans le monde entier par des prières, des réunions de famille et des activités festives.
Cependant, la guerre en cours à Gaza a jeté une ombre sur la fête pour de nombreux musulmans. Malgré l’atmosphère festive, la crise humanitaire à Gaza et la menace d’une offensive terrestre d’Israël à Rafah ont atténué les célébrations. Le président turc Erdogan a exprimé son soutien à Gaza et a insisté sur le besoin de paix et de tranquillité. Des sentiments similaires ont été exprimés au Kenya et en Indonésie. En Malaisie, le premier ministre Anwar Ibrahim a appelé à l’unité et au respect entre les divers groupes.
Bien que joyeuses, les célébrations ont été marquées par la prise de conscience de la crise en cours à Gaza, soulignant l’importance de la solidarité et de la compassion.
