La princesse Martha Louise de Norvège a épousé Durek Verrett, un enseignant spirituel américain. La royauté norvégienne, dont le roi, a assisté à la cérémonie.

Le mariage a eu lieu à Geiranger après trois jours de célébrations. Martha Louise, quatrième dans l’ordre de succession au trône, a cessé d’exercer des fonctions royales en 2022 pour se concentrer sur son entreprise. Elle et Verrett ont déclaré qu’ils n’utiliseraient pas son titre de princesse pour leurs affaires. B certaines personnes les ont critiqués pour l’avoir fait, surtout après avoir fait la promotion d’un gin rose spécial pour leur mariage. La cérémonie de mariage était privée et seuls quelques médias ont pu y assister.

Verrett fera partie de la famille royale mais ne sera pas prince. Ce mariage est controversé parce que Martha Louise croit qu’il faut parler aux anges et que Verrett fait du travail spirituel.
