Un grand incendie s’est déclaré dans un bâtiment appelé Loafers Lodge à Wellington, en Nouvelle-Zélande.

Le feu se déclare tard dans la nuit. Les pompiers sauvent de nombreuses personnes. Mais certaines personnes meurent. Certaines personnes sont toujours portées disparues. Personne ne sait ce qui déclenche l’incendie. Il est possible que quelqu’un le fasse délibérément. Le bâtiment contient un matériau dangereux appelé amiante. Il peut blesser les gens. Ils doivent porter des masques et garder leurs fenêtres fermées. Beaucoup de personnes qui séjournent au Loafers Lodge n’ont pas de maison. Certaines d’entre elles sont des infirmières ou des employés d’hôpitaux.

Le gouvernement dit que beaucoup de gens en Nouvelle-Zélande n’ont pas un bon endroit pour vivre.
