World Athletics vérifiera le sexe des athlètes qui veulent faire partie de la catégorie féminine. Les athlètes doivent passer un test.
Le président, Sebastian Coe, affirme que c’est important pour que les sports féminins restent sûrs et équitables. Les premiers tests auront lieu à Tokyo en septembre. L’organisation est en train de trouver une entreprise pour effectuer les tests. Les athlètes ne passeront le test qu’une seule fois.
Coe estime qu’il s’agit d’une règle importante. Peut-être que d’autres sports commenceront à utiliser ces tests. Certaines personnes n’aiment pas cette règle. World Athletics affirme que les tests sont faciles. Ils ne font pas mal. Mais certaines personnes s’inquiètent.
