Nancy Pelosi, célèbre femme politique américaine, a déclaré qu’elle allait se retirer du Congrès. Elle est la première femme à avoir été présidente de la Chambre des représentants.

Dans son message, elle a parlé avec amour de San Francisco, sa ville natale, et l’a qualifiée de lieu de beauté et de créativité. Elle a déclaré qu’elle était fière d’aider les gens à obtenir de meilleurs soins de santé et de soutenir les énergies propres. Pelosi a remercié ses électeurs pour leur confiance et a déclaré que c’était un honneur de parler en leur nom à Washington. Elle a également demandé aux gens de rester actifs dans la démocratie et de protéger la liberté et la paix. Elle a ajouté que San Francisco devait continuer à être un exemple fort pour les autres à l’avenir.
