Rebecca Cheptegei est une coureuse ougandaise. Elle participe aux Jeux olympiques de Paris.

Son ex-petit ami l’attaque. Il lui verse de l’essence et lui met le feu. Cela se passe après qu’elle soit rentrée de l’église au Kenya. Rebecca est très blessée. Elle meurt quatre jours plus tard. Son ex-petit ami est également blessé et se trouve à l’hôpital.

Rebecca commence à courir pour l’Ouganda en 2010. Elle remporte également une médaille en course de montagne. Les gens disent qu’elle est très gentille et amicale. Rebecca est originaire d’Ouganda mais vit et s’entraîne au Kenya. C’est la troisième femme athlète qui meurt au Kenya depuis 2010.
