Une femme a vu un wombat mort au bord de la route en Tasmanie. Après s’être approchée de la carcasse, elle a remarqué que la poche bougeait. Il y avait un bébé wombat vivant dans la poche !
La femme a aidé le bébé à s’extraire du corps de sa mère. Comme il faisait froid, elle a enveloppé le petit wombat dans une serviette.
Une autre femme s’occupe maintenant du bébé. Elle le garde dans son soutien-gorge pour maintenir la température de son corps. De plus, l’endroit ressemble beaucoup à la poche pour le bébé. Il y restera pendant trois mois.
