L’Éthiopie et l’Érythrée pourraient se battre à nouveau, disent les autorités. Si c’est le cas, de nombreuses personnes dans la Corne de l’Afrique en souffriront.
Le problème commence après une guerre dans la région éthiopienne du Tigré. La guerre commence en 2020 et dure deux ans. L’Érythrée aide l’Éthiopie à combattre un groupe appelé TPLF. Après la guerre, l’Éthiopie fait la paix avec le Tigré, mais l’Érythrée ne fait pas partie de l’accord. Aujourd’hui, certains habitants du Tigré se battent à nouveau. L’Éthiopie et l’Érythrée pourraient prendre des positions différentes. Les deux pays envoient des soldats à la frontière.
L’Érythrée se libère de l’Éthiopie en 1993. Ils se battent à nouveau en 1998 mais font la paix en 2018. Aujourd’hui, ils ne sont plus amis car l’Éthiopie fait la paix avec le Tigré. L’Éthiopie veut aussi accéder à la mer, ce qui ne plaît pas à l’Érythrée.
