Recep Tayyip Erdogan a remporté l’élection présidentielle de 2023 en Turquie avec 52,14 % des voix. Il prolonge son règne dans une troisième décennie.

Son rival, Kilicdaroglu, a obtenu 47,86 % des voix. Les gens s’attendaient à ce qu’Erdogan gagne car il était en tête au premier tour. De nombreux musulmans soutiennent Erdogan parce qu’ils le considèrent comme un protecteur mondial. Kilicdaroglu et son parti voulaient des changements dans le pays et de meilleures relations avec l’Occident, mais ils n’ont pas réussi.

Erdogan doit maintenant prendre des décisions importantes concernant l’armée turque, les réfugiés et les relations internationales. Certaines personnes craignent qu’Erdogan ne détienne le pouvoir absolu dans le pays.
