Essai d’implant cérébral – niveau 2

Neuralink, l’entreprise d’Elon Musk, a reçu l’autorisation de commencer à trouver des personnes pour le premier test humain de son implant cérébral destiné aux patients paralysés. Le test durera environ six ans, mais le nombre exact de participants n’est pas précisé.

Pendant le test, un robot placera un implant dans la partie du cerveau qui contrôle les mouvements. Neuralink prévoit de permettre aux gens de contrôler un ordinateur uniquement avec leur esprit.

Au départ, Neuralink voulait poser l’implant sur dix patients, mais ils ont dû discuter avec la Food and Drug Administration (FDA) américaine qui s’inquiétait de la sécurité. Pour l’instant, on ne sait donc pas exactement combien de patients la FDA autorise.

Elon Musk pense que Neuralink peut aider à résoudre d’autres problèmes comme l’obésité, l’autisme, la dépression et la schizophrénie. Les experts affirment que même si l’implant est sans danger pour les personnes, il faudra plus de dix ans pour l’utiliser à grande échelle.
