Ecopetrol, une grande compagnie pétrolière de Colombie, pollue de nombreux endroits, notamment des rivières et des zones humides.
Un ancien travailleur a trouvé des rapports secrets sur des déversements de pétrole entre 1989 et 2018. L’entreprise n’a jamais signalé certains d’entre eux, mais elle affirme qu’elle suit la loi. Andrés a travaillé pour Ecopetrol et a constaté une pollution nocive de l’eau. Il a partagé ces informations avec des journalistes. Après cela, il a été menacé de mort et a dû quitter la Colombie. L’industrie pétrolière du pays est confrontée à des problèmes de violence. Les entreprises de sécurité travaillent parfois avec des groupes dangereux.
Les personnes qui s’opposent à Ecopetrol sont souvent en danger. Beaucoup ont reçu des menaces, et certains ont même été tués. Andrés vit maintenant en Allemagne et travaille à la protection de l’environnement.
