En Asie centrale, il existe des barrages remplis de déchets dangereux. Ces déchets proviennent des mines d’uranium.
En 2017, il y a un tremblement de terre. La région n’est plus stable. Les barrages risquent de se rompre. Si cela se produit, ce sera une catastrophe aussi importante que celle de Tchernobyl. Des rivières se trouvent à proximité des barrages. Des millions de personnes utilisent l’eau de ces rivières. Les agriculteurs en ont besoin pour leurs champs. Une catastrophe toucherait le Kirghizistan, l’Ouzbékistan et le Tadjikistan. 16 millions de personnes y vivent.
Les experts européens veulent déplacer les déchets. Cela coûtera 22 à 25 millions d’euros.
