Il n’y a pas si longtemps, Hooke Close à Corby, au Royaume-Uni, n’était qu’une rue normale. Mais aujourd’hui, les gens qui y vivent sont en colère. Des ouvriers construisent un entrepôt derrière leurs maisons.

Comment cela peut-il arriver ? Le conseil municipal commet une erreur. Ils parlent aux gens qui vivent dans une autre rue. L’entrepôt fait 18 mètres de haut. Les gens sont mécontents. L’entrepôt se trouve à un endroit où se trouvait autrefois une usine. La construction fait du bruit. Les maisons tremblent. Les gens ne peuvent pas dormir. Ils s’inquiètent de perdre la lumière du soleil et le prix de leurs maisons.

Le conseil municipal s’excuse. Mais ce n’est pas suffisant. Les gens ne veulent pas d’un entrepôt dans leur rue. La construction se poursuit.
