Un garçon bat Tetris – niveau 3

Willis Gibson, un jeune de 13 ans de l’Oklahoma, aux États-Unis, serait la première personne à avoir battu Tetris, un jeu popularisé par Nintendo, depuis sa sortie il y a plus de trois décennies.

Auparavant, seuls des robots dotés d’une intelligence artificielle avaient atteint le difficile ‘écran d’abattage‘ du jeu. Dans une vidéo, Willis joue pendant environ 38 minutes, atteignant le niveau 157 avant de figer le jeu à un score de 999999. Le président du Classic Tetris World Championship, Vince Clemente, a déclaré que cet exploit était considéré comme impossible jusqu’à récemment.

Willis, qui s’entraîne une vingtaine d’heures par semaine sur un téléviseur à tube cathodique, a dédié sa victoire à son défunt père. Ayant commencé à jouer à Tetris il y a seulement deux ans, il est devenu l’un des meilleurs joueurs de compétition du pays.
