Israël interdit Al Jazeera – niveau 3

Israël a ordonné l’interdiction d’Al Jazeera, stoppant les émissions du réseau d’information qatari dans le pays et l’accès à son site Internet.

La décision a été prise par le cabinet de Benjamin Netanyahu, et les responsables ont invoqué des préoccupations liées à la sécurité nationale et à l’alignement présumé d’Al Jazeera sur le Hamas. Al Jazeera a vivement critiqué cette décision, l’a qualifiée de dangereuse et a promis d’intenter une action en justice. Walid Omary, chef du bureau de la chaîne en Cisjordanie occupée, a souligné l’intention d’entraver la couverture du conflit à Gaza, en Israël et en Cisjordanie.

Ce dernier développement souligne les tensions actuelles entre Israël et Al Jazeera. Auparavant, la chaîne avait accusé Israël de prendre pour cible ses installations et son personnel.
