Une vidéo montre les rebelles houthis du Yémen s’emparer d’un cargo israélien dans la mer Rouge. Ils ont déclaré que tous les navires liés à Israël étaient des cibles pour eux.

Les rebelles, alliés à Téhéran, ont promis de poursuivre les actions militaires jusqu’à ce que l’agression de Gaza cesse. Israël s’y oppose fermement. Israël affirme que le navire appartient à la Grande-Bretagne et qu’il est exploité par le Japon.

Les rebelles ont récemment menacé les navires israéliens en raison du conflit avec le Hamas. Le Japon a confirmé qu’il avait capturé le Galaxy Leader et qu’il avait besoin d’aide pour le rendre à nouveau libre. Ray Car Carriers, le propriétaire du navire, a des liens avec un homme d’affaires israélien.
