Loi anti-gay en Ouganda – niveau 3

Le président ougandais Yoweri Museveni a signé une nouvelle loi qui est l’une des lois anti-LGBTQ les plus sévères au monde.
La loi prévoit la peine de mort pour “homosexualité aggravée” et impose des peines sévères pour d’autres délits liés à l’homosexualité. Les pays occidentaux, dont les États-Unis, ont condamné cette loi et pourraient envisager des sanctions contre l’Ouganda. La loi a suscité l’indignation et des inquiétudes quant aux violations des droits de l’homme. L’Ouganda reçoit une aide étrangère importante et pourrait subir des conséquences de la part des donateurs et des investisseurs. La nouvelle loi a également suscité des inquiétudes quant à la lutte du pays contre le VIH, car elle pourrait compromettre les efforts déployés pour combattre la maladie.
Les militants et les organisations LGBTQ ont critiqué la loi et son impact sur les droits et la sécurité des personnes LGBTQ en Ouganda.
