Les pandas sont connus pour leur faible libido, et les femelles ne peuvent concevoir que deux ou trois jours par an, ce qui rend la reproduction difficile.
Cependant, deux pandas du zoo de Vienne, Yang Yang et Long Hui, semblent être tombés amoureux l’un de l’autre et se sont accouplés plusieurs fois – un événement rare en captivité pour l’une des espèces les plus menacées au monde.
La gestation du panda dure jusqu’à 163 jours, les soigneurs vont donc attendre de voir si l’accouplement a réussi.
