En Thaïlande, un temple très prisé des touristes abrite 137 tigres. La police a enquêté sur ce temple en raison de liens présumés avec le trafic d’espèces sauvages et d’accusations d’élevage illégal.

Les autorités ont retiré certains tigres du temple et n’ont pas prolongé la licence de zoo du temple. Ils ont transféré les tigres saisis dans des centres de conservation. Certains bénévoles du temple pensent que le déracinement des animaux est traumatisant pour eux.
