Dans le passé, seuls les gouvernements investissaient dans le secteur spatial. Aujourd’hui, la situation évolue. Et les entreprises n’exercent pas leurs activités en Floride ou à Houston. Sierra Space est une entreprise de Pittsburgh, aux États-Unis. Autrefois, Pittsburgh était la ville de l’industrie sidérurgique. Cela pourrait changer aujourd’hui. L’activité spatiale pourrait créer de nombreux emplois.

L’entreprise présente une animation de sa station spatiale. Elle dispose de beaucoup plus d’espace que la station spatiale internationale. Les scientifiques peuvent y travailler. Ils peuvent créer de nouveaux matériaux et de nouveaux médicaments. Certaines recherches sont difficiles sur terre à cause de la gravité.
