Au Royaume-Uni, les gens écrivent leurs lois sur du vélin. Le vélin est fabriqué à partir de peau d’animal. Certaines personnes n’aiment pas cela. Ils disent que le papier suffit. Le papier est aussi moins cher.

Cependant, le vélin peut durer 5 000 ans. Les lois sont importantes. Peut-être qu’elles devraient figurer sur quelque chose de spécial.

Il existe une loi. Elle a 801 ans. Elle s’appelle la Magna Carta. Le Royaume-Uni l’a toujours. Elle est si vieille qu’elle coûte 6 livres par siècle à fabriquer.
