Derek Chauvin agressé en prison – niveau 3

Derek Chauvin, l’ancien policier de Minneapolis condamné pour la mort de George Floyd, aurait été agressé dans une prison de l’Arizona, comme l’a déclaré le procureur général du Minnesota.
Des rapports antérieurs indiquaient que Chauvin avait été poignardé et gravement blessé. Purgeant actuellement une peine fédérale de 21 ans pour avoir violé les droits civils de Floyd et une peine concomitante de 22 ans et demi pour meurtre devant le tribunal de l’État du Minnesota, Chauvin a été agressé à l’établissement correctionnel fédéral de Tucson. Le Bureau fédéral des prisons a confirmé l’agression, notant que les employés ont pris des mesures de sauvetage et que le détenu blessé a été hospitalisé.
La mort de George Floyd en 2020 a déclenché des manifestations mondiales contre la brutalité policière et le racisme, Chauvin s’étant agenouillé sur le cou de Floyd pendant plus de 9 minutes.
