Les glaciers autrichiens fondent – niveau 1

La plupart des glaciers d’Autriche rétrécissent. Un rapport indique que 94 des 96 glaciers ont reculé au cours des deux dernières années. Le glacier de Pasterze est lui aussi en train de se fragmenter.

Les scientifiques expliquent que ce phénomène est dû au réchauffement climatique et à la diminution des chutes de neige. L’année dernière, le mois de juin a été beaucoup plus chaud que d’habitude.

Des changements similaires se produisent en Suisse et dans d’autres pays. Les experts affirment que la fonte des glaciers peut entraîner des problèmes liés à l’eau, à l’énergie et au tourisme en montagne. Il est temps de réfléchir à la manière d’enrayer le changement climatique.
