Ryan Wardwell, 46 ans, se rend aux chutes d’eau Seven Teacups en Californie le 10 août. Il veut descendre les rochers à l’aide d’une corde. Mais l’eau est trop forte. Elle le pousse derrière une chute d’eau. Il reste coincé là pendant deux jours, mouillé et transi de froid.
Comme il ne revient pas à sa voiture, la police se met à sa recherche. Ils utilisent un drone et le retrouvent plus tard. Un gros hélicoptère arrive et le sort de là. Ryan est vivant, mais il a très soif et il est très fatigué. Il n’a que de légères blessures. Il est heureux de retrouver sa famille.
La police dit aux gens de rester prudents lorsqu’ils se trouvent à proximité de fortes rivières.
