En France, des milliers de manifestants ont défilé contre le choix du président Emmanuel Macron d’un premier ministre conservateur, Michel Barnier.

Le groupe de gauche France Unbowed était à la tête des manifestants et a déclaré que cette décision était injuste et ignorait les résultats des récentes élections. Après les élections, aucun groupe n’a obtenu la majorité au parlement. Le Nouveau Front Populaire (NFP) de gauche a obtenu le plus grand nombre de sièges, mais Macron n’a pas choisi leur candidat au poste de premier ministre.

Barnier, qui a travaillé comme négociateur du Brexit, a déclaré qu’il essaierait de rassembler tous les groupes. Les manifestations pourraient se poursuivre dans les semaines à venir.
