Les jeunes n’ont pas assez d’argent. Ils ont leur premier emploi. Parfois, ils viennent de petites villes. Ils ne peuvent pas louer un grand appartement. Ils vivent dans ce qu’on appelle des micro-appartements. Un micro-appartement est un très petit appartement. Il ne fait que neuf mètres carrés. Il est très simple. Il n’y a pas beaucoup de choses.

Le loyer mensuel est compris entre 380 et 610 dollars. Le loyer dépend de l’endroit où se trouve l’appartement à Tokyo. Les jeunes préfèrent les micro-appartements parce qu’ils n’ont pas besoin de verser de caution au propriétaire.
