Un gigantesque incendie s’est déclaré sur le site de Station Hill à Reading, au Royaume-Uni.

Un ouvrier s’est retrouvé coincé sur le toit d’un bâtiment. La panique grandissait, mais Glen Edwards, un grutier de 65 ans, a habilement descendu une cage jusqu’à l’ouvrier en danger. Les badauds ont observé Glen Edwards manœuvrer la cage avant qu’elle n’atteigne finalement la bonne position. Finalement, l’ouvrier pris au piège est monté dans la cage et, au grand soulagement des spectateurs, il s’est mis à l’abri.

Les pompiers ont applaudi Edwards pour son sauvetage remarquable. Deux hommes ont été soignés pour avoir inhalé de la fumée, mais l’incident n’a pas fait d’autres blessés.
