L’Iran et les États-Unis échangeront bientôt des prisonniers, et ils transféreront également 6 milliards de dollars dans des banques au Qatar.
Tout d’abord, l’Iran a libéré quatre citoyens américains de prison le 10 août. Le secrétaire d’État américain a déclaré qu’il s’agissait du début d’un processus visant à les renvoyer chez eux. Les personnes libérées sont Siamak Namazi, 51 ans, Emad Sharqi, 59 ans, et Morad Tahbaz, 67 ans. Tahbaz a également la nationalité britannique. Les États-Unis n’ont pas précisé l’identité des deux autres personnes.
Le Qatar a aidé l’Iran et les États-Unis à discuter et a permis l’échange. Le Qatar veillera également à ce que l’Iran dépense l’argent comme il se doit. Lorsque le Qatar recevra l’argent, il dira à l’Iran et aux États-Unis de libérer les prisonniers.
