Un robot sous-marin – niveau 3

Les scientifiques de Tethys Robotics, une spin-off de l’ETH Zurich, ont créé un drone robotique sous-marin capable d’effectuer des tâches trop risquées pour les plongeurs humains.

Le véhicule autonome est conçu pour les environnements difficiles tels que les canaux et les rivières troubles, servant d’alternative lorsque les méthodes traditionnelles de recherche et de sauvetage sont inefficaces. Le robot Tethys est équipé d’une batterie au lithium remplaçable, offrant jusqu’à quatre heures de fonctionnement avec une seule charge.

Le robot pèse 30 kg dans l’eau, peut atteindre une vitesse de 2 mètres par seconde et a une portée de câble en fibre optique allant jusqu’à 10 km.
