Tesla gagne au tribunal – niveau 2

Un tribunal californien a jugé que la fonction Autopilot de Tesla n’était pas défaillante dans ce qui pourrait être le premier procès lié à un accident impliquant le logiciel.

Tesla a développé et présenté son système d’autopilotage et de conduite autonome intégrale. Le PDG Elon Musk estime que ces technologies sont très importantes pour l’avenir de l’entreprise, mais le gouvernement les examine de près. Justine Hsu a intenté un procès à Tesla l’année dernière. Elle a déclaré que sa Model S avait percuté une bordure de trottoir alors qu’elle était en mode Autopilot, et qu’elle avait subi des blessures. Elle a invoqué des problèmes liés à l’Autopilot et au système d’airbags.

Tesla a affirmé ne pas avoir commis d’erreur et a déclaré que Hsu avait utilisé Autopilot dans les rues de la ville, ce qui n’était pas autorisé. Le tribunal a déclaré que Tesla n’était pas responsable de l’accident et que Hsu n’avait pas reçu de dommages et intérêts.
