Accord sur les migrations entre la France et la Grande-Bretagne – niveau 2

La Grande-Bretagne a quitté l’Union européenne en janvier 2020, et depuis cette date, les relations du pays avec la France sont plus difficiles.
La semaine dernière, les deux pays ont conclu un accord qui devrait faciliter leur coopération. En octobre 2022, Rishi Sunak est devenu Premier ministre britannique. Il souhaite stopper les migrants qui arrivent en Angleterre à bord de petites embarcations. L’année dernière, 45 000 migrants originaires d’Afghanistan, d’Iran et de Syrie sont arrivés sur la côte sud de l’Angleterre, soit 500 % de plus que deux ans auparavant. La Grande-Bretagne a accepté de verser à la France 577 millions de dollars sur trois ans pour l’aider à empêcher les gens de traverser la Manche.
La Grande-Bretagne participera à la construction d’un centre de détention en France. La France déploiera davantage d’agents et de meilleures technologies pour surveiller ses plages et arrêter les petites embarcations transportant des migrants.
