Les États-Unis et Israël ont attaqué l’Iran. Le président Trump a dit qu’il voulait empêcher l’Iran de devenir une puissance nucléaire et protéger les Américains. L’Iran a réagi en tirant des roquettes sur des bases militaires américaines à Bahreïn et dans d’autres pays de la région. Les pays ont intercepté beaucoup de roquettes en vol, mais certaines ont touché le sol, tuant des gens et détruisant des bâtiments. Israël a déclaré l’état d’urgence et fermé son espace aérien. Il y a eu des explosions dans des villes iraniennes.
Le guide suprême iranien, l’ayatollah Ali Khamenei, est mort pendant les attaques. Il dirigeait l’Iran depuis 1989. Cette situation fait suite à des semaines de manifestations et de discussions sur le programme nucléaire iranien. Beaucoup de gens craignent que le conflit ne s’aggrave.
